PURPOSE OF ROLE
To support income generation and relationship building with a wide range of supporters and stakeholders. Help research new funding opportunities and help in the managing of the fundraising database and other team records. Providing general administrative support to the fundraising team.
KEY TASKS
• Service regular internal fundraising/business development meetings and regional centres
• Ensure that existing and new relationships with funders are managed and maintained appropriately, including face to face meetings and written reporting as per their requirements.
• Support the stewardship of existing donors and prospects; this may include assisting the team with mailings, updating information, researching topics for the team including case studies and communications
• Work closely with key internal staff to ensure good flow of content for effective applications and communications with supporters
• As required, to work with other teams within the organisation to develop funding proposals and reports
Events and Research:
• Assist in promoting and administering fundraising events
• Preparation and coordination of fundraising events
• Undertake internet and desk-based research on fundraising and sources of income.
• Keep abreast of relevant government policy and third sector news to identify emerging funding opportunities and sector changes
• Conduct research on current and prospective major donors and businesses and present findings in a clear and concise format to enable input into our database
Administration:
• Assist with maintaining the fundraising database, ensuring accuracy and consistency across the records.
• Maintain up-to-date filing systems, both manual and electronic as appropriate
• To maintain accurate and comprehensive records on the fundraising database,
network drives and hard filing systems.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Degree level education or equivalent
• Experience in fundraising or related field
• Experience of working on multiple projects
• Experience of working on events
• Experience of planning meetings, setting agendas and taking
• Proven track record of being able to conduct effective research.
