It is an exceptional opportunity to join a young and vibrant editorial team and to help mould and shape the strategic direction of Complex Media in the UK.
You will primarily be responsible for the Style section on the UK version of
http://www.complex.com, leading the day-to-day content operation – generating content ideas and creating content in the form of news stories and features – and taking responsibility for key editorial decisions.
You will be expected to develop and lead a network of freelance contributors, and take responsibility for commissioning, editing, posting and signing-off content produced by them.
You will be expected to filter – and rework where necessary – Complex US style-related content relevant to publish for a UK audience.

YOU
You will be an excellent journalist with solid experience in digital media and a proven track record of successfully creating style-related content that is highly engaging, shareable and appropriate for its target audience.
You are able to generate excellent original content ideas and execute them quickly and accurately; you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and thrive under pressure.
You have an in-depth knowledge and understanding of all the brands, designers, stores, etc currently covered by Complex, and a clear idea of what UK brands, designers, stores, etc would be relevant to add in to this mix.
You have the ability to create style-related content in a way that appeals directly to the Complex audience.
You have a solid understanding of the UK style industry landscape and its key players, and a good list of contacts and connections with relevant labels, PRs, designers and potential contributors.
Experience of leading a team a definite plus.
You are an expert in all forms of social media and fully understand its role in the contemporary content ecosystem.
You are comfortable working with basic 'back-end' operations such as CMS, SocialFlow, etc, as well as basic handling (sourcing, tweaking, etc) of images and video.
You will be highly organised, responsible, flexible and able to encourage development in others.
You have a solid understanding of the Complex Media brand, the subject areas we cover and the Complex audience.
You are able to understand and respond to learnings gained from analytics.
