As part of their growth they are now looking for Advertising Field Sales Executives to sell market leading Radio brands in broadcast and online media.
The Role
They currently require a Radio Advertising Field Sales Executive based in Glasgow and Central Scotland. You will be responsible for selling radio airtime advertising, online, sponsorship and promotional opportunities to new and existing SME and corporate customers in Glasgow and surrounding areas. This role will involve the management of a territory where you will be responsible for targeting an already identified potential client base and sourcing new leads. You will be responsible for warm and cold telemarketing calls to obtain face to face sales meetings with potential customers. This is a structured sale where you will identify the business needs then create, design and present innovative advertising solutions tailored to the client to ensure results. You will be working with a great back up team, you’ll be putting together creative pitches using the latest technology that will make you stand out to your clients. Once on board you will manage, nurture and provide great customer service that will keep clients happy, making them want to grow their business with you.
You will have the support and back up of strong case studies, presentation tools, technology, metrics and marketing information to ensure sales success.



The Candidate

Bloomberg News is seeking reporter for its debut First Word Oil service. This position will be based out of our London office and will provide intraday commentary on oil futures markets to complement our coverage of physical oil markets.

Candidates will have in-depth experience covering oil markets and a thorough knowledge of which pieces of breaking news on macro-economic, FX, political, supply and demand topics typically affect prices on an intraday basis. The individual in this role will be responsible for providing fast and concise stories on the oil futures and options markets and developments and news that may affect them, providing succinct perspective on ``what is happening'' and "what it means", for traders.

All candidates must have the ability and market-specific knowledge to immediately discern actionable information from breaking news. They must have strong writing skills and will be expected to develop new contacts and turn them into sources.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Oil reporting experience
  • Strong work ethic, team player, ability to work calmly in high-pressure environment
  • Knowledge of and experience with the Bloomberg terminal is a plus
  • An understanding of technical analysis is very advantageous

You may work today in an oil trading centre or capital city and be looking for an opportunity to work from home. You'll join a team of unparalleled experience and expertise, comprising former traders, brokers and reporters from the top tier of the business wires and price reporting agencies.

We're adding naphtha coverage to our LPG and gasoline offerings in Europe. You may have trading, broking or operations experience of the naphtha or close-by markets, and you will have a demonstrable ability to write in English.

You’ll have a large network of contacts and be able to travel into central London by noon on a working day (for occasional meetings and for training). OPIS produces daily market reports including price assessments, forward market analysis, news, commentary and also real-time services providing price developments and product cargo movements.

Special Projects Editor, Hedge Funds Review / Custody Risk

Hedge Funds Review has established itself as the leading brand for insight and analysis in the hedge funds industry. Publishing on fund strategies and interviewing senior financial executives, Hedge Funds Review is read by industry leaders and key decision makers in the hedge fund world.

Since its inception, Custody Risk has grown with the markets. With new regulations on central clearing, margining and collateral segregation coming into effect, the role of the
custodian is arguably more important than ever. Custody Risk publishes news, analysis and research on the latest industry developments.

As well print magazines, both titles have online offerings and host annual events.

We are looking for a Special Projects Editor to work across both publications. The London-based role would suit an experienced journalist keen to develop their career on world-leading brands and determined to break agenda-setting stories as well as working on commercial projects. Experience on a financial title is essential and international travel may be required. The successful applicant will enjoy working across print, web and video as well as assisting with the publication’s busy events schedule.

Reporting to the Editor, Hedge Funds Review/Custody Risk, the successful applicant will generate ideas for commercially viable editorial projects and manage the projects through to publication, as well as researching and writing regular features for the magazines and online platforms, writing news for the website and breaking exclusive stories.

The Special Projects Editor will have three main priorities:

  • Developing and producing special reports, webinars and other projects agreed with the publisher.
  • Managing the hedge funds and custody awards and rankings.
  • Writing other editorial for Hedge Funds Review and Custody Risk (published online via Risk.net).
The role requires excellent features, interview, news and news analysis writing capability and first-rate editing skills.

The Special Projects Editor should be confident chairing events, including roundtables and streamed conference sessions. He/she should be proficient in video as a tool to supplement copy and produce original insightful content, such as documentary videos.

The successful applicant will also take responsibility for the second series of Hedge Funds Review’s Lions’ Den, a made-for-web video production examining the trials and tribulations of emerging managers trying to convince three hedge fund ‘lions’ to invest in their products.

You have:
  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in journalism, economics, the humanities or computer science
  • At least five years of experience working in media or social media
  • Experience with digital analytics packages
  • The ability to work under pressure, autonomously with little supervision, achieving consistent results
