Inside Housing, the award-winning weekly magazine for social housing professionals, is looking to recruit a sharp and creative production editor to its busy team.

The right candidate will already be a production editor or chief sub editor on a print title, with experience of managing a team and a proven track record of delivering magazines to deadline and on budget. They will be well-versed in print production and able to respond quickly to the changing demands of the job.

An excellent understanding of grammar, good attention to detail and a flair for writing eye-catching headlines and standfirsts are essential. In-depth knowledge of InDesign and good working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator are also crucial skills.

The production editor must be highly organised, calm under pressure and confident in dealing with internal departments, freelancers and suppliers. They need a keen eye for design and must be able to sub-edit, layout and PDF pages to tight deadlines. Experience of commissioning photographers and illustrators and using online content management systems would be a bonus.

Inside Housing is part of Ocean Media Group and the position is based at its Canary Wharf office in London.
