Hello, we’re the Interactive Media team at Absolute Radio. How are you? Love your shoes. Oh, we’re fine, thank you for asking. Although we are looking for someone to join us as an Interactive Producer. I don’t suppose you know anyone– what’s that? You say that you like the idea of working for an award-winning team, at a multiple Sony and Arqiva award-winning national commercial radio station? Well then, you should help yourself to a slice of this delicious cake and take a seat.
Based with us at our HQ in London’s swingin’ Soho, you’ll be reporting to the Senior Interactive Producer (Dave). Your primary responsibility will be designing and building commercial microsites, and the creation, upkeep, and commercialisation of content areas across Absolute Radio’s multifarious websites and apps. You’ll have the opportunity to work on many different types of projects from web design, social media content, ad creative, email newsletters, apps, and pretty much anything else we can put on a screen.
What do we expect from you? Well in addition to your piercing eyes and luxurious hair, our ideal candidate will have good all-round creative skills, a particularly good eye for design, and will have been building responsive websites professionally using standards compliant HTML and CSS, and a graphics package like Photoshop, for at least two years. You should be able to interpret a brief against a deadline and triumphantly nail great-looking finished work to the wall of your digital hunting lodge. You must be willing to share new ideas and constructive criticism for existing and future endeavours.
Ideal candidates will find internet memes funny on the first viewing and passé on the second, share our distaste of Cliff Richard, be tolerant of silly hats, email us links to stupid tumblr blogs, find the idea of slapping David Tennant with a fajita amusing, know the difference between their, there and they’re, be able to sing the Nyan Cat music without accompaniment, and like the colour purple.
If this all sounds good to you, send us an email with a CV and we can tell you more. We would love to hear from you. One last thing: You may be expected to make tea. That’s not because you’d be new, and you won’t be the only one making tea, it’s just because we drink lots of tea. To avoid awkwardness, please take note of the following milk, sugar, and shade requirements:
Anthony – Semi-skimmed, one sugar, #cc843f
Dave – Skimmed, no sugar, #ab6e37
Llia – Semi-skimmed, no sugar, #c9762b
